Update to the Yetminster Parish Council website

Following today's meeting I'm pleased to be working on updating the Yetminster Parish Council website - it has been live in it's current form for nearly 3 years now and will be updated to achieve the council's next goals. Key new elements are: A move from Joomla to Wordpress as the content management system to ensure simpler and more efficient updates. Responsive design so the website will adapt to different device sizes. New features to allow local clubs to update selected content areas and to allow residents to provide feedback on council proposals.

Upgrade of Catalist data to Modes and transfer to a new PC

I have just finished helping a local museum upgrade their outdated collection cataloguing software (Catalist) to a current release of SPECTRUM compliant Modes software. An old Windows 98 PC, monitor and printer was removed and a new PC, 19.5" monitor and multi-function printer has been installed. Full collection data from the old PC has been backed up, exported and upgraded for use in the new Modes software. More information on Modes can be found on their website.
